That is not saying anything new. Most people would agree that a good player is better than a hero.

If this discussion is about whether a human mesmer (instead of a hero) should be using PI or Panic, then it is in the wrong sub forum.

My lovely post was deleted, I suppose because I didn't sugarcoat it enough so it was too offensive towards kanuks guy. With a good reason.

I'll sum it up: kanuks, you don't even have enough focus to know who said what in a discussion. Check what I said and what Daesu said.

Kanuks, your legendary quote goes like this:

I hate to sound like kanuks, but, we're in heroway section, so tell me, how many heroes did you have in your SC of x area or UW clear?

I mean, here I am, debating about skills from a perspective of typical GW player (99% of them), and all the time I get back replies that go like "in a specific area X with highly organized human group Y this skill, after much repetition/training of/in area X, does good".

This game really fell from grace. People can't even for a second look out of their favorite farming/sc area and behold the world. Time to move on.

Thank you for taking my statement completly out of context. I'm not going to bother posting my opinion of panic for the 4th time, but the reasons why I feel the way I do about the skill come from my experience from elite missions, with mobs that are easily clumped and contain multiple casters. My statement was a response to Jeydra's comment on how I should word my posts. May I remind you that my post was a response to your comment on how Panic, the skill itself, was subpar.

Panic is a pretty top skill, but a highly situational one... its niche is shutting down large mobs of/with casters... if that sort of enemy setup isnt expected, your better off with something else...

At the right time and place it verges on been broken! Its just that the conditions for it to be epic, arent so easily met due to the design and population of most areas... When its shines its blinding, when it doesnt, its pretty dull...

conclusion: Extremely powerfulor almost broken niche skill with limited situational usage. Generally, other skills will usually pan out better..

On heroes? its ofc its rarely gonna be as well placed or timed as with a human, tho ive not actually taken it enough to give a valid read on on how fatso/gwen uses it past a handfull of test runs..

Funny, I guess I should start my posts with the phrase "After hours of testing." I've spent the better part of this year in GW in elite areas with different builds (SC's and "regular" ones). My satisfaction with panic is due to the fact that I've yet to fail a SC or "regular" clear with a panic mesmer and a smart group. (Personal UWSC record is 54 min. w panic). THAT is where my "knowledge" comes from.

Since you don't seem to actually read my posts and instead nitpick things to troll on I'm going to stop responding to you.
In that case you're in the wrong forum. This forum is Heroes & AI. You don't do SCs with heroes and AI, nor do you care what your alliance members do because whatever your alliance members do cannot influence the heroes under your control.

Your so-called UWSC record in 54 minutes is not only way outdone by current UWSC records (which is 23 minutes, if I remember right), they involve other humans, and therefore falls outside the domain of Heroes & AI.

If you want to debate the power of Panic with humans, then go to the Mesmer subforum. If you want to debate the power of Panic in H/H where you as a human Mesmer runs Panic, then keep posting. Alternatively, if you want to debate the power of Panic in H/H where the Panic user is a hero Mesmer, then keep posting. But in either case you should lay off saying things like "if you go into an area with inexperienced people ..." because if you're going anywhere with H/H there are no inexperienced people - unless it's yourself, of course.

It proves a lot, because those areas are some of the hardest in the game. The builds that work against the hardest areas in the game are obviously going to be more reliable that those that work against easier areas, such as CoF.

I have stopped arguing with Josip because he is the kind of player that will use the same 3 heroes to do everything and won't adapt depending of the situation. I tried very hard to explain him that a mesmer hero can be better in some situation but he has yet to understand it. He basically always uses an er ele, a sos rit and a curse necro, even though we know that the er ele is not needed at all for h/h play. He is probably the kind of player that would rather pop some cons instead of changing his heroes.

But hey he has gwamm so that makes him the best player in here

FWIW I feel like they ninja fixed the AI for Psychic Instability. Gwen has been using that skill like a beast lately.
